Eva Marcille disagrees with Tyra Banks’ revamp plans

Even though Tyra Banks is very excited about the upcoming changes on America's Next Top Model, one of her more famous alumna doesn’t agree. And she will tell you why.
Eva Marcille, winner of ANTM Cycle 3 and current star of Girlfriend Confidential: LA, tells Fashionista that replacing recently fired judges Nigel Barker, Jay Manuel, and J. Alexander with bloggers and online personalities is a terrible idea.

“[Bloggers] are just people with opinions that don’t do this business. It’s like, me giving you an opinion about your blog. I don’t have a blog. So who am I to tell you about your blog?” She added, “I’m sorry, three months as a blogger is not gonna prepare you for what this world is.”

Aside from being a heavy-handed diss to all bloggers, Eva’s reasoning is confusing. As Fashionista rightly points out, what is “this business” and “this world” aside from the business of a reality show? ANTM doesn’t produce “Top Models” in the sense that the winners shoot to the top of every designers’ wish list for runway shows, and none of the 17 winners has landed a major fashion or beauty campaign (Cycle 10’s Fatima Siad did model for Herve Leger and Sephora campaigns, but she didn’t even win her cycle!).

Also, where did she get the idea that Tyra’s potential blogger hires will only have three months of experience? The only name that has been floated seriously is Bryanboy, who has been blogging about fashion for years.
